Nissan has launched the Gravite in India, a 7-seater MPV based on the Renault Triber. The Gravite is available in four variants: Visia, Acenta, N-Connecta, and Tekna. The N-Connecta sits below the top-spec Tekna, offering a strong set of features at a lower price. The Tekna variant, however, adds more premium and convenience features for an additional Rs 70,000 over the N-Connecta. Both variants are available with manual and automatic transmissions, with a price difference of around Rs 60,000 between the two gearbox options.

The  Nissan Gravite Tekna variant offers several upgrades over the N-Connecta. On the exterior, the N-Connecta comes with halogen projector headlamps, while the Tekna features automatic LED headlights with LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and front LED fog lamps. Both variants have ORVM-mounted LED turn indicators, functional roof rails with a 50 kg load capacity, and body side cladding.

The Gravite Tekna stands out with 15-inch steel wheels with stylized covers, compared to the 14-inch wheels on the N-Connecta. Both variants include LED tail lamps and silver-finished skid plates. The Gravite is available in five colours: Blade Silver, Storm White, Onyx Black, Metallic Grey, and Forest Green.

Inside, both variants share a dual-tone dashboard, sliding and reclining first- and second-row seats, 60:40 split second-row seats, and 50:50 split removable third-row seats. The Tekna adds leatherette upholstery, a height-adjustable driver seat, a driver-side armrest, and a silver finish on the interior door handles. The N-Connecta uses a 3.5-inch semi-digital instrument cluster, while the Tekna features a fully digital driver display.

Infotainment, Convenience, and Safety

Both variants are equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and steering-mounted audio controls. The Tekna has a 6-speaker audio system, while the N-Connecta offers a 4-speaker setup. Additional Tekna features include push-button start/stop, wireless phone charging, and cruise control (manual variants only).

Safety features are comprehensive in both variants. They include six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), hill-start assist, ABS with EBD, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and ISOFIX child seat anchorages. Convenience features such as a rear parking camera with guidelines, rear wiper with washer, rear defogger, and day/night IRVM are standard. The Tekna adds front parking sensors and rain-sensing wipers for extra convenience and safety.

Engine and Value

Both the N-Connecta and Tekna variants use a 1-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. The N-Connecta is the entry point for the automatic transmission in the Gravite lineup.
