The Nissan Tekton, launched in India at Rs. 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom), has secured a five-star rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests. The assessment, conducted in June 2026, covers multiple variants of the Tekton, including both its 1.0-litre and 1.3-litre engine options. Bharat NCAP awarded the Tekton 30.49 out of 32 for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 45 out of 49 for Child Occupant Protection (COP).

In the Adult Occupant Protection category, the Tekton scored 14.49 out of 16 in the frontal offset deformable barrier test. It achieved a perfect 16 out of 16 in the side-movable deformable barrier test. The vehicle also passed the side pole impact test. For Child Occupant Protection, the Tekton received a CRS dynamic score of 24 out of 24, a CRS installation score of 12 out of 12, and a vehicle assessment score of 9 out of 13.

Standard safety features on all Tekton variants include electronic stability control, side head curtain airbags, pedestrian protection, and seat belt reminders for all passengers. These features contribute to the high safety scores across the model range.

Platform and Safety Parity with Renault Duster

The Nissan Tekton shares its platform, body structure, and safety equipment with the Renault Duster. Bharat NCAP confirmed that the Tekton's rating is based on the Renault Duster's assessment, as both vehicles are structurally and mechanically identical in terms of safety architecture. Within its segment, the Tekton's Adult Occupant Protection score of 30.49 out of 32 is the lowest among its two closest competitors. One rival scores 31.70 out of 32 in AOP. However, the Tekton's Child Occupant Protection score of 45 out of 49 matches the Seltos and surpasses the Sierra, which scored 44.73 out of 49 in COP.
