Strong Demand and Booking Details
The Rorr Evo's rapid booking rate places it among the fastest-selling electric motorcycles in India. The electric motorcycle segment continues to grow, though it remains a small part of the overall two-wheeler market. Founder and CEO Madhumita Agrawal stated that the booking milestone signals a shift in consumer readiness for electric motorcycles. She emphasized that Indian riders are increasingly open to adopting electric vehicles that offer strong performance and practicality.
Oben Electric currently operates over 150 showrooms and service centers in more than 100 cities across 18 states. The company plans to add 200 exclusive showrooms by the end of FY27, aiming to expand its reach significantly. Its after-sales service, Oben Care, has achieved a customer satisfaction score of 91%, reflecting the company's focus on long-term ownership support.
Rorr Evo Specifications and Features

The Oben Electric Rorr Evo is powered by a proprietary IPMSM motor with a peak output of 9 kW and delivers 250 Nm of wheel torque. The motorcycle accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in three seconds and has a top speed of 110 km/h. The motor is IP68-rated for dust and water resistance and is 40% more compact than its predecessor while offering 20% more power.
The vehicle uses a 3.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, providing an IDC-rated range of 180 km. Fast charging allows the battery to reach 80% in 90 minutes. The Rorr Evo comes with an eight-year battery warranty. Oben Electric was among the first in India to adopt LFP battery chemistry, which is known for thermal stability and longevity, though it has a lower energy density compared to NMC cells.
The Rorr Evo's motor is free of heavy rare-earth materials, addressing concerns about global supply chains. The motorcycle features a 5-inch color TFT display, over-the-air software updates, turn-by-turn navigation, geo-fencing, remote immobilization, and fall detection with emergency SOS through the ARGUS platform. The SmartIQ system uses AI to optimize ride efficiency, potentially extending range by up to 15% depending on conditions.
For daily use, the Rorr Evo offers the longest seat in its segment and 10 litres of under-seat storage. Oben Electric manufactures key components in-house at its 3.5-acre Bengaluru facility, which has an annual production capacity of 100,000 motorcycles. This vertical integration is uncommon among Indian EV startups and allows for greater control over quality and production timelines.
Market Context and Company Background
India is the largest motorcycle market by volume, with millions of units sold each year. Electric motorcycles make up a small but growing share of total two-wheeler sales. While scooters have dominated the electric two-wheeler market, companies like Oben Electric are expanding into the motorcycle segment, which is still led by internal combustion models from brands such as Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj, and Royal Enfield.
