Ola Electric has etched its name into the electric two-wheeler automotive history by surpassing the remarkable 1 million production milestone. This significant achievement showcases the brand’s rapid growth to be one of the best electric mobility players across the nation. The company, which began production in 2021 at the factory in Krishnagiri, has now managed to produce its 1 millionth electric scooter in less than 4 years.
Celebrating this milestone, Ola Electric revealed the exclusive Roadster X+ Special Edition. A motorcycle that embodies the brand’s vision of design, localization, and future-centric technology. The Ola Roadster X+ not only celebrates Ola’s growing legacy but also heralds the next era of innovation in India’s dynamic electric two-wheeler market.
Ola Electric started its operations in 2021. With the sleek, comfortable, and attractive color options, the entry-level e-scooter S1 captured the imagination of Indian consumers and increased the strong demand for the Ola S1, and later the Ola S1 Pro, with major updates to the battery configuration. The company has maintained an impressive 18% market share with two models that satisfy the high demand, solidifying its position in spite of increased competition from rival electric two-wheeler manufacturers.
Celebrating this amazing milestone, a spokesperson from Ola Electric said, “This marks the celebration of every Indian who trusted us and believed in our mission. In four years, we have gone from an idea to becoming India’s EV two-wheeler leader. We built at scale and proved that world-class products can be designed, engineered, and manufactured right here in India. This milestone is a testament to how far we have come, and we are just getting started! Our mission is clear: #EndICEAge and make India the global EV hub.”

To make this achievement more memorable, Ola Electric has introduced the all-new Ola Roadster X+ Special Edition model. This e-bike comes with distinctive design elements wrapped with a striking midnight blue paint scheme adorned with sporty red accents. The electric bike also offers a dual-tone seat for riders, sporty rims, and an advanced battery configuration pack. The vehicle is designed from a fleet of recycled copper waste and electroplated bars, which reflects the recyclability built into Old’s design philosophy.
The model is available with two battery pack options. The first is the 4.5 kWh battery pack delivering a single-charge range of 252 km, and the second is a larger 9.1 kWh pack that boasts up to 501 km on a single charge. With both battery configurations, the two-wheeler claims a top speed of about 125 kmph.
Ola Electric announced the launch of new Bharat Cell-powered vehicles. The Roadster X+ Special Edition with the 9.1 kWh pack is priced at Rs 1.90 lakh (ex-showroom), with deliveries scheduled to begin this Navratri. For Indian customers, Ola’s portfolio includes the S1 Pro+ variant that comes with a 5.2 kWh battery pack, priced at Rs 1.70 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.
Ola’s commitment to future-ready electrification is accentuated by battery cell development. The milestone reinforces Ola’s strategy of localized innovation, scaling production, and deepening its connection with Indian consumers.
Ola Electric's achievement of rolling out 1 million vehicles in under four years is more than a statistical milestone. It also signifies the rise of an electric mobility landscape in India. With the Roadster X+ Special Edition, Ola not only celebrates its remarkable growth but also lays the foundation for its next innovation chapter.
