The automotive industry has transitioned to revised prices following the implementation of GST 2.0 tax reforms. Many brands are surpassing the GST 2.0 benefits after the price rate cuts are reduced by the introduction of new tax reforms. Based on these, many automotive accessory brands are also reducing prices under the 18% tax regime. According to the latest reports, Pioneer India has also announced it will reduce the prices on the automotive touchscreen and audio system with effect from September 22, 2025
Pioneer India, a leader in car infotainment and audio solutions, has announced a significant revision in the pricing of its automotive touchscreen and audio systems following the implementation of GST 2.0 to reduce tax rates from 28% to 18% for automotive accessories. This initiative will bring greater affordability to consumers seeking in-car modernity upgrades. Pioneer India has instructed its authorized dealers and distributors to apply the revised prices uniformly across all sales channels, ensuring that the benefit reaches customers directly and transparently.
Key Price Reductions Across Popular Models

As per the latest GST 2.0 tax regime, Pioneer has revised the prices for all major car accessories across the portfolio. Some famous and best-selling car accessories, like the DMH-Z5290BT/XNID model, are now available at Rs 27,647 in India. Before the GST 2.0, the gadget was priced around Rs 29,990. Thus, it represents a reduction of Rs 2,343 after the GST cut rates.
Another entry-level product named MVH-G219BT/XNID has been reduced to Rs 12,805 from Rs 13,890. Even the most premium car accessory, the DMH-ZF9650BT/XNES model, has also seen a reduction in price rates from Rs 1,16,590 to Rs 1,07,481. Other models similarly reflect downward price adjustments in line with the GST 2.0 tax slab of 18%.
Enhanced Consumer Affordability and Market Impact
Pioneer India has stated that all the revised prices will be labelled with updated MSPs with effect from September 22, 2025. The brand has also issued a legal notice to all its authorized partners and car accessories distributors to regulate the pricing of the product and services as per the new GST 2.0 tax reforms.
As the prices are reduced, it will boost demand in the passenger vehicle segment, facilitating aftermarket upgrades and replacements as customers take advantage of more attractive pricing. Pioneer, as a brand, has also advised consumers that both old and new MRP-labeled products may be available in the market.

Compliance and Transparency
All the revised prices have been issued under multiple regulatory frameworks. This also includes the Legal Metrology Package Commodities Rules 2011 and the Consumer Protection Act 2019. Consumers are advised to verify updated prices on the official Pioneer India website or authorized outlets to enjoy the GST benefits safely. The move aligns with the Indian government's broader GST rationalization to simplify taxation and promote economic activity in the automotive sector.
Conclusion
With the implementation of the new GST 2.0 reforms, Pioneer India had to lower the prices on its automotive accessories and in-car audio systems. This will directly benefit the customers with more affordable modern products while supporting industry growth and transparent business practices.
