The French automaker electrified everyone by revealing the all-new electric Megane E-Tech in RHD guise. This will be the first time that the vehicle has made a public appearance in India.
The EV was showcased at the Snapdragon Auto Day 2025. This event marks the iconic Qualcomm Technologies in collaboration with the growing Indian OEM industry. The car was the main showstopper of the event. However, the most anticipated thing was Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Digital Chassis. Let’s take a deep look at the all-new Renault Megane E-Tech in detail.
A Glimpse into Renault’s Electric Ambitions
The all-new Renault Megane E-Tech is an ambitious electric car. Although the brand has not confirmed anything about its official launch in India. Sources cite that the French automaker has no plans to bring the model to the Indian market. In recent times, the brand has begun to sell the model in the international market.
Moreover, the brand put the car on display at the event, planning a significant step towards electrification in India. It underscores Renault’s strategic alignment with global trends and its ongoing evaluation of India’s rapidly evolving electric vehicle ecosystem. As per the reports, Renault India has stated that we aim to wait for the right time to get into the more mature Indian EV market and also get the high-tech EV ecosystem before the brand introduces high-end EVs in India.
Renault Megane E-Tech: What’s the design?
The EV signifies the latest Renault design philosophy with subtle sport appeal complemented by the massive LED DRLs, which are positioned on the edges of the bumpers. The body contours are joined together by a chrome strip that stretches through the new Renault logo in the center. When looking at the car's side profile, you may notice a sloping roofline arched through the neat LED-connected taillamp.

The car also possesses sophisticated exterior features, such as flush pop-out door handles, 20-inch aero dual-tone alloys, and a coupe-crossover silhouette, further enhancing its sophisticated personality.
Powertrain Specs

The car might offer two battery pack options available for Indian customers. The base variant might offer a 40 kWh LPF battery pack. This battery configuration can generate 130 HP and 250 Nm of maximum torque. Whereas the top-end model will be equipped with a 60 kWh LPF battery pack producing 218 HP and 300 Nm of torque.
It will take only 30 minutes to charge both battery variants from 0 to 80 percent via a 150 kW DC fast charger. The estimated mileage of the car by the brand is about 470 km on the WLTP cycle.
