Royal Enfield has announced the sixth edition of the Continental GT Cup retro racing series for 2026. The company has released the full calendar for the upcoming season and opened online registrations for participants. The championship’s main highlight is the debut of the Continental GT-R750 race prototype, which will be used by riders in the Professional category.

2026 Championship Schedule
The zonal selection round and track school will take place in four cities: Guwahati, Delhi NCR, Pune, and Bangalore. These events will start on 16 May and conclude in the first week of June. The final rider selection round is scheduled for 18-21 June, 2026, at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore. Following the selection, three main race rounds will be held at the same venue between August and November.
Royal Enfield will provide hospitality support to participants throughout all rounds. The championship will also feature a prize pool of Rs. 20 lakh for competitors.
Race Categories and New Prototype
Amateur riders will continue to compete on the GT-R650, as in previous years. However, Professional category riders will race on the new Continental GT-R750 prototype. This motorcycle made its global debut at the EICMA show in Milan last year.
The GT-R750 features race-tuned suspension, upgraded brakes, lightweight steel twin exhaust pipes, and a redesigned, curvier front fairing. The most significant change is the engine. The GT-R750 uses a 750cc parallel-twin motor, expected to deliver around 55bhp and 65Nm of torque. The prototype has been seen in multiple test runs ahead of its official race debut.
The introduction of the GT-R750 prototype at the Continental GT Cup signals that a production version may be launched soon after the championship, possibly by the end of the year.
