Key Developments in June 2026
Flying Flea C6 Electric Motorcycle Launch
June saw the start of customer deliveries for the Flying Flea C6, Royal Enfield's first electric motorcycle. This model is the debut product under the company's new "City+" electric mobility brand, Flying Flea. Deliveries began in Bengaluru and are supported by a hub-and-spoke service network, a shop-in-shop retail format, and 24-hour roadside assistance. Royal Enfield has announced a phased rollout for the Flying Flea C6, expanding to additional cities over time rather than launching nationwide at once.
B. Govindarajan, Managing Director of Eicher Motors and CEO of Royal Enfield, described the Flying Flea C6 deliveries as a milestone for the company. He noted continued strong performance across the existing product portfolio and indicated plans to extend the electric brand to more regions in the coming months.
Anniversary and Community Events
June 2026 also marked Royal Enfield's 125th anniversary. The company unveiled a "World Origin Site" plaque at its first factory location in Redditch, England. The event featured motorcycles from five generations, including a special 125th Anniversary Edition of the Classic 650.
Royal Enfield opened registrations for the inaugural Himalayan Basecamp – Ladakh Edition, scheduled for September 4–6, 2026, in Leh. The company also launched the 22nd edition of the Himalayan Odyssey on June 27, 2026, expanding the event to three ride formats this year.
Outlook for the Coming Quarter
With domestic demand surpassing exports for the sixth consecutive period and the launch of its first electric model, Royal Enfield's growth in the second quarter of FY2026-27 will depend on the pace of the Flying Flea rollout and stabilization in export markets. The company continues to monitor trends in both domestic and international sales as it expands its electric mobility offerings.
