Motorcycling enthusiasts were expecting to have a good glimpse of the adventure tourer Himalayan 750 at the show, but that didn’t happen. The brand had only unveiled the pre-production model (prototype) of the bike. However, the CEO of Royal Enfield stated that the bike will require additional time for additional development also said that it will possibly arrive by next year with no chance before EICM 2026. giving us an expected timeline for the launch. Let’s check more details in the article below.
Himalayan 750 Expected Launch by 2026
Earlier this month, Royal Enfield showcased a close-to-production model of the Himalayan 750 in Milan, Italy. Making its global debut at EICMA 2025, motor enthusiasts were guessing that the brand would mark its debut in India at Motoverse 2025 in Goa. However, the motorcycle showcased at the Motoverse event was only a pre-production model.

The Himalayan 750 may launch next year at EICMA 2026 in Milan, Italy. CEO B. Govindarajan mentioned that the bike will need more development time, hinting that the bike is going under rigorous testing. Moreover, he mentioned riding the bike to the Himalayas, as they always take the motorcycle there. Later, he said that the concept is under testing by the company and hinted that it may finally arrive next year at EICMA.
What Can We Expect?
The Himalayan 750 will carry an overall silhouette similar to the Himalayan 450. Along with that, it will feature a 19-inch front and 17-inch spoke or alloy wheel, dual-disc brake setup, USD telescopic front fork, adjustable front suspension, remote preload adjuster at the rear suspension, a 5-inch TFT Tripper Dash with Google Maps support and music control, dual-sport tyres, and much more, making it one of the most anticipated bike launches for next year.

Talking about the heart of the Himalayan 750 is a 750cc multi-cylinder engine, which is expected to produce 55 bhp of power and 65 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch.

Moreover, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 is expected to have features like ride-by-wire throttle, dual-channel ABS with multiple ABS modes, cornering ABS, adjustable levers, adjustable windshield, and LED lighting. The bike is also expected to have cruise control, which will help provide the rider comfort on long routes.
Verdict
The Himalayan 750 signals Royal Enfield’s clear intent to move deeper into the premium adventure segment, and the prototype already shows strong promise. While the extended wait may frustrate enthusiasts, it also suggests the brand is focused on refinement rather than rushing to market. If executed well, this could become RE’s most capable long-distance machine yet.
