Skoda Auto India has started accepting bookings for the Kodiaq RS, a sportier and more powerful version of its flagship three-row SUV. Customers can reserve the Kodiaq RS by paying a booking amount of Rs. 3 lakh. The company has not yet announced the official price, but it is expected to reveal this in the coming weeks. Only 50 units of the Kodiaq RS will be available for the Indian market.

Design and Features

The Skoda Kodiaq RS features several cosmetic changes to set it apart from the standard Kodiaq. These include blacked-out elements on the grille, roof rails, mirror caps, and window surrounds. The SUV also comes with 20-inch alloy wheels and red brake calipers, highlighting its sporty character. Buyers can choose from four exterior colors: Steel Grey, Velvet Red, Magic Black, and Moon White.
While Skoda has not released the full feature list, the Kodiaq RS is expected to retain most equipment from the standard model. Likely features include a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, powered and ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, and three-row seating. The RS variant is also expected to offer sport seats and unique interior details specific to this model.

The Kodiaq RS sits above the regular Kodiaq Laurin & Klement (L&K) variant. It targets buyers who want both enhanced performance and premium SUV features. The SUV uses a revised 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine that produces 261 BHP and 400 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and Skoda’s all-wheel-drive system. Skoda states the Kodiaq RS can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hr in 6.3 seconds. The top speed is rated at 231 km/hr.

The Kodiaq RS will be available in limited numbers, with only 50 units for India. It is positioned as a premium offering above the standard Kodiaq range. The price is expected to exceed Rs. 50 lakhs (ex-showroom), but official figures are yet to be confirmed.
