Skoda is making its way to bring a comprehensive mid-segment sedan to the Indian roads in an all-new avatar. With a heavily camouflaged wrap on the body contours, the all-new Skoda Slavia was recently spied testing in Pune. The car will share the same aesthetic changes as the upcoming Volkswagen Virtus. The 2026 Skoda Slavia facelift will focus on sharper styling and a more premium and tech-rich cabin, with enhanced safety.
These upgrades would likely be followed by the upcoming 2026 Skoda Kushaq, which was also spied testing in recent months. The sedan Slavia will be positioned in the competitive midsize sedan segment with an all-new front fascia revealed during testing. Let’s check out other possible features to be made available for Indian roads.

Recent spy shots of the Skoda Slavia facelift reveal a redesigned front fascia with a new grille pattern. These new exterior changes will be integrated with new pieces of LED headlamps and DRLs. For the 2026 facelift iteration, the car might have a lower bumper featuring a three-dimensional treatment and piano black elements.
At the rear, the Slavia facelift is expected to get tweaked LED taillamp signatures and an updated bumper, while new alloy wheel designs will further distinguish it from the current model. But looking at the car from the side, the design may feel more like a coupe silhouette as the roofline integrates with the boot lid, making a streamlined, rich contour.
As the test mule was heavily wrapped, the 2026 Slavia is likely to feature a refreshed dashboard layout, along with new upholstery themes. The brand might boost a car with an upgraded touchscreen infotainment system with improved UI graphics and Bluetooth connectivity.
A major highlight of the facelift is expected to be the introduction of Level 2 ADAS, bringing features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, and autonomous emergency braking, depending on the variant. The car will also receive top-priority safety features, such as six airbags and ABS with EBD, and come with a 5-star Global NCAP rating.

The brand has not revealed any details about the car's mechanics. However, we can expect that the car will carry the same powertrain unit as the current model. The base trim variant will be powered by a 1.0L turbo-petrol engine that generates 115 HP of power and 178 nm of torque.
Another engine will be a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine that produces 150 HP and 250 Nm of torque. The base variant engine might be paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Whereas a 1.5L Turbo comes with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.

Industry reports suggest that the facelifted Slavia will be introduced in India in 2026, with some sources indicating a debut as early as January as part of Skoda’s new-year product announcements. Pricing is likely to see a mild increase over the current model.
The upcoming Skoda Slavia facelift forms a key pillar of Skoda’s plan to keep its India 2.0 sedan and SUV duo competitive amid renewed interest in midsize sedans. With subtle design changes, the 2026 Slavia aims to reinforce Skoda’s reputation for robust build, engaging dynamics, and European sophistication tailored to Indian customers.
