Tata Elxsi Limited has announced a change in its chief financial officer. Gaurav Bajaj will step down as CFO on May 29, 2026. Nalin Rana will take over the role from May 30, 2026. The company disclosed this leadership transition in a regulatory filing to BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India on April 27, 2026. The announcement was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Leadership Transition Details
The board meeting on April 27, 2026, confirmed Bajaj's resignation. The Nomination and Remuneration Committee and the Board of Directors both acknowledged his decision. Bajaj stated in his resignation letter to Managing Director and CEO Manoj Raghavan that he plans to pursue new professional opportunities. The Board expressed appreciation for Bajaj's contributions during his tenure as CFO. The company has not specified the length of his service in the regulatory filing.
To ensure a smooth transition, Nalin Rana will join Tata Elxsi on May 15, 2026. This two-week overlap allows for a structured handover of responsibilities. Rana will officially assume the CFO position on May 30, 2026. He will serve as key managerial personnel under the Companies Act, 2013, and his appointment is on a full-time basis.
Profile of Incoming CFO Nalin Rana
Nalin Rana brings 17 years of experience in strategic finance, business planning, corporate strategy, and investment banking. He joined the Tata Group in 2021. Since then, he has served as a senior leader in the Group CFO and Group Strategy Office at Tata Sons, the holding company of the Tata conglomerate. Rana has worked on strategic analysis, investments, fundraising, and mergers and acquisitions across various group businesses.
He also holds board positions at Tata Teleservices Limited and Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited. Before joining the Tata Group, Rana was an executive director in investment banking at Standard Chartered Bank. He led business development and execution for Indian and global clients.
He advised on mergers, acquisitions, and fundraising transactions valued at over $15 billion across multiple sectors. Rana's background covers both corporate strategy and capital markets. He has experience in advisory and operational finance functions.
