Renault Kiger lineup expands with evolution plus and manual techno turbo variants

Renault India has expanded the Kiger range by introducing new variants to offer more choices in powertrain and features. The updated lineup now includes the Evolution+ trim and a manual transmission option for the Techno Turbo variant.

New Evolution+ Trim Details

The Renault Kiger Evolution+ trim is positioned above the Evolution variant in the Kiger lineup. It is available with three engine-transmission combinations. Buyers can select a naturally aspirated 1.0-liter petrol engine with either a manual gearbox or an AMT. The turbocharged 1.0-liter petrol engine is paired with a manual transmission in this trim.

Prices for the Evolution+ variant start at Rs. 6.99 lakhs and reach up to Rs. 7.89 lakhs (ex-showroom). The naturally aspirated engine delivers 71 BHP and 96 Nm of torque. The turbocharged engine produces 99 BHP and 160 Nm of torque.

Renault has equipped the Evolution+ with several features. These include automatic climate control, push-button start/stop, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, driver seat height adjustment, and upgraded fabric upholstery.

Manual Gearbox for Techno Turbo

Renault has also introduced a five-speed manual gearbox for the Techno Turbo variant. Previously, the Techno Turbo was only available with a CVT automatic transmission. Now, buyers can opt for a manual transmission at a lower price point.

The Techno Turbo MT is priced at Rs. 8.45 lakhs (ex-showroom). This makes it more accessible for customers who prefer manual gearboxes while retaining the same feature set as the automatic version.

Expanded Kiger Variant Lineup

With these updates, the Renault Kiger lineup now includes five trims: Authentic, Evolution, Evolution+, Techno, and Emotion. Renault has expanded both the naturally aspirated and turbocharged variant options. This provides customers with a wider range of choices to suit different budgets and preferences.

The Renault Kiger continues to be priced between Rs. 5.81 lakhs and Rs. 10.35 lakhs (ex-showroom), depending on the selected variant and powertrain.
