At the Auto Expo 2025, Tata Motors displayed a flex-fuel version of the Tata Punch. This model features a 1.2-litre engine that can run on ethanol blends above 85 percent. The company aims to launch at least one flex-fuel product as its first step into this market. Tata Motors is preparing to meet the expected increase in demand for alternative fuel vehicles in India.

Production and Market Strategy

Tata Motors plans to expand its production capacity to match the growing market demand. The company expects robust growth in the current financial year. This expansion aligns with Tata's strategy to strengthen its position in both traditional and alternative fuel segments.

Electric Vehicle Demand

Customer interest in Tata's electric vehicles has risen sharply in recent months. Shailesh Chandra attributed this increase to higher fuel prices, which are linked to geopolitical tensions in West Asia. Since March, Tata Motors has seen a 25-30 percent rise in electric vehicle inquiries and bookings. The company is closely monitoring these trends as it plans future product launches.
