Loan and EMI Details

The top-spec Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) variant is the most expensive Model Y trim in New Delhi. For calculation purposes, a standard interest rate of 9.5 percent and a down payment of around 20 percent of the on-road price have been considered. Actual interest rates may vary based on individual CIBIL scores and lender policies.

For a 3-year loan tenure, the monthly EMI for the top-spec Model Y is Rs 1.86 lakh. Over three years, the total EMI payment amounts to Rs 65.92 lakh, which includes Rs 8.76 lakh as interest. The total cost after three years stands at Rs 80.12 lakh.

With a 4-year loan tenure, the monthly EMI reduces to Rs 1.44 lakh. The total EMI payment over four years is Rs 68.93 lakh, including Rs 11.77 lakh in interest. The total cost after four years is Rs 83.13 lakh.

For a 5-year loan, the monthly EMI is Rs 1.2 lakh. The total EMI payment over five years is Rs 72.03 lakh, with Rs 14.87 lakh as interest. The total cost after five years reaches Rs 86.23 lakh.

Choosing a 7-year loan tenure lowers the monthly EMI to Rs 93,425. The total EMI payment over seven years is Rs 78.48 lakh, including Rs 21.32 lakh in interest. The total cost after seven years is Rs 92.68 lakh.

Model Y Features and Variants

The Tesla Model Y is available in three variants in India. It is also offered in the Model Y L version, which provides extra legroom and an additional row of seats. Key features include a 16-inch infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated and ventilated front seats, ventilated rear seats, an 18-speaker sound system, dual-zone climate control, a head-up display, a rear entertainment screen, power-operated second-row seats, wireless phone charging, and a panoramic glass roof.

Safety features include multiple airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold assist, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, front and rear parking sensors, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and a 360-degree camera. Full self-driving features will be available in the future at an additional cost.

Financing Considerations

Financing the Model Y through a loan can help make ownership more accessible. Shorter loan tenures of three or four years reduce the total interest paid, while longer tenures of five or seven years lower the monthly EMI but increase the overall cost. Buyers can use online car loan calculators to explore different EMI combinations based on variant, down payment, interest rate, and loan tenure.
