The launch of electric vehicles has been resounding in the Indian automotive market. We have already witnessed the iteration of EVs from VinFast, Kia, and Tesla last week. But now a new name has been added to the list, and this time it's from Morris Garage. The MG M9 has officially launched in India at Rs 69.90 Lakh (ex-showroom).

With the launch of the M9, MG Motors has finally entered the realm of unparalleled luxury. The car will be available only at selected premium MG Motors dealerships. The brand has presented the MG M9 as the presidential limousine, a luxury MPV that is crafted for indulgence and comfort. Here’s everything you need to know about the all-new 2025 MG M9 electric MPV.

MG M9 EV: Design and Dimension

The 2025 MG M9 is crafted for buyers who expect everything. The exterior of the car looks like a perfect limousine, highlighted by a rugged trapezoidal mesh grille. To add elegant proportion for customers, the brand also offers electric sliding doors to ensure seamless entry with a touch.

The front fascia of the car is equipped with split LED headlights and sleek rear LED taillights inspired by the Star River War Halberd. The car is badged with 19-inch self-sealing tyres backed by ContiSeal technology. The heated ORVMs are also available, designed to prevent fog and frost buildup. Considering its dimensions, it will be one of the longest 7-passenger MPVs to be launched in India.

Battery, Range, and Performance

Underneath the rugged, boxy frame lies a 90 kWh battery pack that supports the too-perfect journey. The car is able to produce 245 PS of power and 350 Nm of maximum torque. With such a battery setup, the car is MIDC-certified to provide a range of 548 km on a single charge.

For Indian customers, the brand offers two charging options. A 160 kW DC fast charger, which can charge the car from 0 to 100 percent in 90 minutes. The second option is an 11 kW AC charger. To consider, the top speed of the car is estimated to be about 180 kmph.

Interiors and Features

The interiors of the car are something that inspires till the last. The car is first in the segment to offer 16-way adjustability. The seat receives a premium luxury upholstery with ventilated heating and 8 massage modes. While getting inside the cabin, you may get a teaser of a 6-seat layout with the second row as a triumph. The dashboard is equipped with a 12.23-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 7-inch digital driver's display, and a two-spoke steering wheel.

The car has a lot of features for Indian customers. It is among the most feature-rich MPVs on Indian roads. These include:

  • 3 AC Rows
  • 64-Colors Ambient Light
  • Panoramic Sunroof
  • AC Control
  • 13 tuned JBL Speakers
  • Advanced multi-zone climate control
  • PM 2.5 Filtration
  • USB Connectivity
  • 55L boot capacity
  • 7-airbags
  • 360-degree camera
  • ESP
  • Level 2 ADAS
  • Tyre-Pressure Monitoring System

Pricing, Variants, and Colors

The 2025 MG M9 will be available in a single variant only in India. The car will be a front-wheel-drive clubbed with a single automatic transmission. For the 2025 edition, the car offers three distinct colors, such as Metal Black, Concrete Grey, and Pearl Lustre White. The ex-showroom price of the car is Rs 69.90 Lakh.

CarBike360 Says

With the launch of the all-new 2025 MG M9, the brand has taken a challenging step, as it is priced too high for an electric MPV. This car is not for the travel-goer. It's built for professionals and CEOs who can possess such fine and premium technological advancements
