Skoda India is planning to expand its business portfolio in India. With the launch of the Skoda Octavia RS, the brand is trying to diversify its portfolio in the Indian automotive market. For those who are automotive enthusiasts, know that the Octavia nameplate was once popular in India. The brand discontinued the 2023 iteration of the Octavia, as the car did not meet the Phase 2 BS6 norms.
However, the Skoda Octavia RS is making a much-awaited comeback in the Indian market, setting the stage for a dynamic presence amongst performance sedans. With the launch slated for November 2025, Skoda’s new RS promises a blend of power, technology, and aggressive design that marks a bold return to premium motoring in India. Let's take a look at the key specifications that this car could offer Indian customers.

The upcoming Skoda Octavia RS will be the 4th generation model to be launched in India. Talking about its design, the car will carry subtle design tweaks that will be similar to its predecessor. The brand will be more focused on its performance-oriented characteristics. At the front, the RS gets a blacked-out radiator grille with bigger air intakes arched on the newly designed sporty alloy wheels.
The headlamps would be integrated LEDs, along with the all-new DLRs, which further enhance its sporty appeal. At the rear, we might see the RS badge, signaling a new driving era for enthusiasts. The Octavia RS is set to reignite passion for sporty sedans while elevating the brand’s credentials in the competitive premium segment.
Skoda designed the Octavia RS to cater to one specific factor: a pure adrenaline rush. Under the hood, the car might be powered by a 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. This engine is powerful enough to generate 265 HP and 370 Nm of torque. Paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox, the engine is capable of accelerating the car from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.4 seconds. With a top speed of 250 kmph, the chassis has been tuned for skillful handling and robust performance.

While getting inside the car, the cabin might be enveloped in an all-black theme. A few proportions of extra red accents on the seat, which extended to the dashboard and door panels. The driver will be able to get sporty seats with a front ventilated option. Occupants enjoy leatherette-upholstered sports seats with center armrests in front and rear. Features include a three-spoke RS steering wheel, a crisp 13-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, and a 10-inch digital driver’s display.
On the safety front, Skoda is poised to offer a full suite of protective technologies. Multiple airbags, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, tyre pressure monitoring, a 360-degree camera, and comprehensive ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems) underscore the RS’s commitment to both spirited and secure driving.
The Skoda Octavia RS will be available as a CBU unit in India. This CBU unit will be costlier than the regular sedans available in the market. For the 2025 iteration, the Skoda Octavia RS will be priced with an introductory price of Rs 53 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. While it has no direct rivals at its price, it can be seen as a sportier alternative to more mainstream luxury sedans such as the Audi A4, BMW 2 Series, and Mercedes A-Class. Yet, it can be a serious contender to the Toyota Camry, which is priced at a similar budget across the sedan portfolio.
The Skoda Octavia RS signals a landmark revival of performance motoring for Indian buyers. It is engineered to inspire discerning drivers who cater to speed and performance. As Skoda reasserts its leadership in sporty sedans, the Octavia RS is set to write a new chapter in enthusiast motoring, one drive at a time.
