Thor Drake of See See Motorcycles has introduced a new custom motorcycle, the Reload 650, at The One Motorcycle Show in the United States. This custom build is based on the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 and follows a similar project unveiled last year by Winston Yeh’s Rough Crafts at the same event. However, Drake’s Reload 650 takes a more radical and racing-focused approach.

Key Features of the Reload 650

The Reload 650 draws direct inspiration from 1980s AMA racing motorcycles. Thor Drake, who was the 1998 AMA 250GP road-racing national champion, designed the bike to reflect that era. The motorcycle features a period-correct rear section with a boxy tail unit and a solo-seat setup. This design pays homage to superbikes from the 1980s.

The custom build includes upgraded suspension, which enhances its performance and handling. It also features five-spoke Morris wheels, adding to the retro racing aesthetic. The motorcycle is equipped with a 2-into-1 S&S race exhaust, further emphasizing its racing character.

At the front, the Reload 650 uses bar risers and a wide handlebar. This setup provides a more upright riding posture, which contrasts with the aggressive styling inspired by racing motorcycles. The combination of these elements creates a unique blend of comfort and race-inspired design.
