The unveiling of the TVS M1-S marks a significant milestone in entering the maxi-scooter segment, with few serious contenders in India so far. In the teaser, the brand showcases its all-new muscular silhouette accentuated by twin aggressive sport DRLs. Based on the TVS X sporty format design, 1-S will dominate the market under the TVS portfolio in the electric scooter segment. Let’s check out the possible details via the recently launched teaser.

TVS M1-S: Sporty Silhouette based on iQube format

The upcoming TVS scooter, or maxi-scooter, might share its architecture with the iQube variant. The front fascia of the electric scooter has a rugged, muscular stance with twin aggressive LED headlamps badged with eyebrow-like DRLs. When you first look at the scooter, you might notice that its design resembles that of the ION M1-S electric scooter from ION Mobility. This is because TVS is a strategic investor in ION Mobility and acquired a stake in the company.

The scooter also has a tall windscreen in the front, even though there are strips of vertical-running DRLs through the front body contours with LED turn indicators on each side. The design delivers both visual drama and practical appeal for urban and highway riders alike.

Battery, Range, and Performance

Under the steel frame TVS X chassis, the max-scooter will be powered by a 4.3 kWh battery pack mated to a high-performance motor that generates 12.5 kW of maximum power and 54 Nm of maximum torque. This battery pack is accompanied by a 72V 60Ah Li-ion battery setup. With such a configuration, the electric scooter can accelerate from 0 to 50 kmph in just 3.7 seconds.

The top speed of the M1-S is estimated to be about 105 kmph, and it can cover a distance of 150 km on a single charge. With an air-cooled, IP67, and high-grade aluminum alloy enclosure, it can charge your vehicle from 0 to 100% SOC in just 3 hours.

Conclusion

With the introduction of the all-new M1-S maxi-style scooter in Indonesia. TVS is making plans to produce some feature-rich maxi-scooters. In India.
