Recently, the car was spotted while testing on Indian roads. The test mule was heavily camouflaged, hinting at subtle yet noticeable exterior offerings. As one of India's most affordable EVs, these changes could sustain its appeal for urban buyers eyeing zero-emission mobility. Let’s take a look at the recent test mule spied testing and what we can expect from the facelift version of the 2026 Tata Tiago EV.

What’s With The Update?

The first-ever spy shots of the 2026 Tata Tiago EV have surfaced on the internet. While seeing the recent images for the first time, the car might have exterior design refinements. The test mule showcases revised headlamps with a sharper, sporty profile. We can expect all-new front and rear bumpers. Even at the rear, the taillight might match up with the echoes from the recent Tata Punch facelift.

These cosmetic updates maintain the compact hatch's city-friendly dimensions without altering its standard footprint. The changes promise a fresher street presence, helping it stand out against rivals like the Citroen eC3 and MG Comet EV, making it one of the budget-oriented EV cars in the segment.

Interior and Feature Upgrades

Tata has not revealed anything about the interiors of the car. However, industry experts suggest that the car might be closer to the latest Punch facelift EV while considering the cabin upholstery. On the dashboard, we might expect a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster with an auto-dimming IRVM.

One of the most prominent updates will be the introduction of the all-new center console with a center armrest, along with the integrated rear AC vents. Other additional features include:

  • New touch-infotainment system
  • Toggle Climate Control
  • Wireless Charging Pad
  • New Seating upholstery
  • Bluetooth Connectivity
  • Harman Audio Setup
  • Tyre Pressure Monitoring System

These upgrades address feedback on the current model's simpler interiors, making daily drives more engaging.

Mechanically, the upcoming Tata Tiago EV facelift might be unchanged. The 2026 Tiago EV retains its proven dual-battery setup. For the standard variant, the car might offer a 19.2 kWh battery pack that offers a claimed range of about 257 km. The other trim level comes with a 24 kWh battery configuration that offers 315 km of range on a single charge.

The single electric motor delivers around 61 HP to 75 HP of power with 110 Nm to 114 Nm of peak torque. Charging remains practical as a full AC top-up in 3-9 hours, while the DC fast charge to 80% is under an hour. The car might have a top speed of about 120 kmph.
