The Vietnamese automobile brand has recently entered the Indian market in 2025 with its best-selling models, the VF6 and VF7 electric cars. Now with subtle results in sales figures, the brand has taken a bold step to launch its first electric scooter in India by 2026. This shows that the company is making a gateway to establish a strong foundation in the Indian electric mobility segment.

The move aligns with VinFast's broader strategy to create an integrated electric vehicle ecosystem in India, including expanding dealerships, launching ride-hailing services, and exploring electric buses. The electric scooter launch aims to cater to increasing consumer demand and compete with established players locally.

​VinFast: Electric Scooter Launch Plans

VinFast plans to introduce its electric scooters in India under a new sub-brand created specifically for two-wheelers. The company is currently conducting a feasibility study to finalize which models from its global lineup. Market studies and product tests are underway to ensure the scooters meet local conditions and price expectations.

The launch is expected in the second half of 2026, closer to the festive season, when the company will leverage its expanding dealer network to reach consumers. VinFast is targeting around 35 dealerships across 60 cities in both major metros and tier-2 and tier-3 markets, signaling a strong retail presence focused on accessibility and customer support.

Six Different Models Available On The Website

VinFast has given a glimpse of its 6 different models that are offered in Vietnam. These six models are the VinFast Feliz, VinFast Klara Neo, Theon S, Vero X, Vento S, and the VinFast Evo Grand. From these models, the VinFast Evo Grand might be the top variant, which will be equipped with a bigger battery configuration. However, the brand has not confirmed which of these models would make their way to India.
