Volkswagen Taigun Facelift Spied Before Its Official Launch
Explore the 2025 Volkswagen Taigun facelift with updated styling, enhanced interiors, advanced safety tech, and the expected launch timeline.

For the past few days, we have seen the Skoda Kushaq Facelift for some time while testing, and now a prototype has been released while testing in India. This prototype is the upcoming Volkswagen Taigun. It has been spied testing for the first time. Unlike Kushaq, Taigun is already due for a midlife update.
However, from the test mule, it can be seen that the car will have a subtle design and also offer upgraded features from the existing one. As per the report, the car might get cosmetic updates and a few ergonomic changes inside the cabin. Most of the parts will be shared from the Skoda Kushaq. Let us take a look at what the all-new upcoming Volkswagen Taigun Facelift has to offer.
Updated Design
The upcoming Volkswagen Taigun Facelift has been spotted testing ahead of its official debut in 2025 or early 2026. The facelift version of the car will have some changes to the exterior design and dimensions. It is expected to receive a more aggressive front fascia with a redesigned front grille. The car will have updated LED headlamps and revised rear taillights.
The rear taillights would also be connected with LED elements consistent with Volkswagen’s global SUV design language. From the recent spy shots, the exterior may also offer new bumpers and new sporty alloy wheels. The body contours may have some chrome accents and the body cladding for the top variant.
Volkswagen Taigun Facelift: Interiors
We can expect that only a few changes will be made to the interior of the car. However, Volkswagen can introduce new upholstery inside the cabin and a premium leather finish upholstery for the top model. The ergonomic controls might be channelized by the use of plastics throughout the cabin. The dashboard could be revamped with an updated, larger touchscreen infotainment system.
Expected Features
With the facelift version, the upcoming Volkswagen Taigun might also receive upgraded features. The standard variant of the car might have the same comprehensive features as the current model. However, for the top variant, upgrades would be different. The expected features are as follows:
- A larger touchscreen infotainment system
- 360-Degree Camera
- Dual Climate Control
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Multiple Airbags
- Lane Keep Assist
- ADAS Level 2
- ESP
- Panoramic Sunroof
- Wireless Charging
- Bluetooth Connectivity
The most important feature will be the introduction of the ADAS level 2, as Volkswagen has not introduced it in the current ongoing model. Now, considering the pricing, most competitors have already been offering it in their respective models.
Retains the same powertrain
The upcoming Taigun might retain the powertrain from the same existing model. The car currently offers two engine options to customers in India. The first is the standard 1.0L TSI engine that produces 115 HP and 178 Nm of torque. Moreover, a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine comes as an additional option to consumers. This engine churns out 150 HP and 250 Nm of torque.
However, the transmission options are likely to be the same. The car may be equipped with a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic, or a 7-speed DSG system as an option.
