Volvo XC40 Facelift Launch on September 21st: Details Inside!!

Volvo is all set to launch the Volvo XC40 Facelift in India on September 21st. The car will come with a new mild-hybrid powertrain and slight cosmetics and equipment changes.

Volvo will introduce the XC40 facelift on September 21, to the Indian market. A mild-hybrid technology will be included in this mid-lifecycle update. In addition, the XC40 facelift receives exterior adjustments, new color options, and upgraded equipment.

New Upgrades

The major upgrade will be a new 2.0-liter turbo-petrol mild-hybrid engine with 197 horsepower. With the exception of the S60 sedan, all ICE-powered Volvo models receive mild hybrid technology after the debut of the XC40 facelift.

The XC40's makeover includes new exterior color options, sharper headlamps, and reprofiled front bumpers. Interestingly, we already know how the model would look because the XC40 Recharge, a brand-new all-electric vehicle, debuted in India before this facelift. Volvo is probably going to provide new color options and extra equipment with the facelift in addition to the visual changes.

Rivals

The XC40 will compete against other high-end entry-level SUVs when it is released, like the Mercedes-Benz GLA and the recently released Audi Q3. It competes with the Indian-market BMW X1, though a new generation will be available in 2019.
