Mahindra’s latest announcement has highlighted a significant order backlog for its SUV lineup, with over 2.2 lakh pending orders. This backlog underscores the brand's strong presence in the utility vehicle segment.

Leading the pack is the ever-popular Scorpio and Scorpio N, with an impressive 86,000 units waiting to be delivered. The Thar, Mahindra’s rugged off-roader, follows closely with 59,000 units on backorder. The XUV700, another favourite among SUV enthusiasts, has 16,000 open bookings, while the dependable Bolero range has 10,000 units pending.

A standout in Mahindra's lineup is the newly launched XUV 3XO, which has already made waves in the market. In a stunning display of consumer interest, the XUV 3XO garnered 50,000 bookings within just an hour of the order books opening on May 15, 2024.

In response to this overwhelming demand, Mahindra has been working diligently to increase production capacity. Their efforts have begun to bear fruit, reducing the total backlog from 2.26 lakh units in February 2024 to 1.70 lakh units by May 1, 2024. This proactive approach aims to bring down wait times and meet the high expectations of their customers.
