Battery, Motor and Range

Starting the list with the biggest highlight of the scooter that is the range it promises, the EC-06 is equipped with a 4kWh fixed battery pack that can provide you a claimed range of 169km on a solitary charge, which is an impressive number in this category though it may vary in real life conditions and riding habit. As for the motor setup it gets an IPMSM electric motor that puts up a maximum power of 6.7kW and 26Nm of torque, with this setup the scooter can touch a top speed of 79kmph that seems good enough for urban rides.

The EC-06 features a simple and clean design with smooth body panels, boxy LED headlamp and well-balanced proportions. The scooter also has a reverse mode that helps riders in tight parking situations. As for the charging, the scooter can charge from 0 to 80 percent in eight hours using a standard home charger and 10 hours to get 0 to 100 percent.
Hardware

At its core the EC-06 uses a steel frame supported by front suspension and dual rear shock absorbers. It rides on 110/80 14 and 120/70 14 front and rear tyre respectively, Braking duty is handled by disc at both ends sized 200mm both complemented with Combi Brake System.
Underseat Storage

Another highlight of the EC-06 is its underseat storage underlining Yamaha’s focus on practicality over performance, usually EV scooters are not expected to have much underseat storage, but the EC-06 provides you with decent 24.5-litre storage that can easily fit a helmet and a backpack.
