Yamaha Motor India has introduced the FZ Blue Flex motorcycle in India, marking a significant step in alternative-fuel mobility. The new model supports ethanol-blended fuels from E20 to E85 and is priced at Rs 1,24,240 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Yamaha will sell the FZ Blue Flex in select states through its Blue Square dealerships.

Key Features and Specifications
The Yamaha FZ Blue Flex uses a 149cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This engine delivers 8.6 kW of power and 12.8 Nm of peak torque. It comes paired with a five-speed gearbox. The motorcycle is designed to run efficiently on various ethanol-blend levels, supporting India’s growing biofuel initiatives.
The FZ Blue Flex maintains the familiar styling of the FZ range. It features a full-LED projector headlamp with integrated position lamps, a sculpted fuel tank, an LED tail lamp, and a single-piece seat. Suspension is managed by telescopic front forks and a rear swingarm setup. For safety, the motorcycle includes ABS for braking.
Availability and Market Strategy
The FZ Blue Flex will be available in Metallic Black. Yamaha will initially retail the model in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu. The company aims to align its product strategy with India’s biofuel policies and sustainability goals.
