Yamaha India has expanded its urban street motorcycle portfolio with the launch of the all-new FZ-X Hybrid in India at Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The Japanese two-wheeler introduces the FZ-X hybrid version for the 2025 edition. However, the inspiration for the design has been taken from the recently launched Yamaha FZ-S Hybrid.
With new updates and features, the bike is priced Rs 20,000 higher than the standard variant. This new variant signifies the all-new Yamaha's aggressive push toward more future-ready, fuel-efficient machines in the 150cc segment for Indian customers. As the FZ is still under the portfolio, the FZ-X Hybrid is targeted at young urbanites and daily commuters. The FZ-X Hybrid combines the proven reliability of the FZ platform with hybrid hardware, making it practical for crowded city roads.
As Yamaha Motor India’s Managing Director, Eishin Chihana, highlighted during the launch, “The FZ-X Hybrid demonstrates our commitment to bringing advanced, rider-focused technology to Indian motorcyclists, ensuring more sustainable and enjoyable daily commutes.”
The all-new 2025 Yamaha FZ-X Hybrid carries a rugged streetfighter aesthetic and sporty design with minor tweaks as updates. The bike is only available in a single color, namely Matte Titan, for customers. While looking at the front fascia, the hybrid variant offers a classic round headlight design with a bulb flasher both at the front and rear. The rear LED taillights may add a class to your ride.
Another highlight of the motorcycle is the all-new 4.2-inch full-color TFT display, which not only gives the bike a premium edge but also integrates seamlessly with phones via Yamaha's Y-Connect app. The bike also offers tech-savvy features mentioned below:
The 2025 FZ-X Hybrid is powered by a 149 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This engine is capable of generating 12.4 HP at 7,250 rpm along with 13.3 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The bike is paired with a 5-speed gearbox for smooth acceleration and reliable performance.
Underneath the styling lies the telescopic fork at the front and a 7-step adjustable monocross at the rear for superior comfort on urban roads. For power braking, the motorcycle offers a front 282 mm disc with ABS and a rear 220 mm disc with traction control for enhanced safety and confidence in varied conditions. With such a refined engine, the bike is capable of giving a decent mileage of about 48 kmpl. The top speed of the bike is estimated to be about 115 kmph.
The FZ-X Hybrid has been primarily focused on the urban riders who value simple retro design, convenience, and a clean riding experience. The FZ-X Hybrid stands as a future-forward, well-equipped commuter and a worthy premium within the 150cc segment.
