Key Features and Design Updates
The new black color scheme on the Japanese XSR155 features premium golden and red graphics on the fuel tank. Golden pinstripes run along both sides of the tank, and the Yamaha badge is set against a red background. This finish gives the motorcycle a more upmarket appearance compared to the metallic black version available in India.
The Japanese model also sports a unique alloy wheel design with a bronze finish. These wheels are fitted with block-pattern tyres, enhancing the bike's rugged look and complementing its roadster style. These visual updates distinguish the Japanese-spec XSR155 from its Indian counterpart.
Performance Differences
The Japanese Yamaha XSR155 produces 18.7 HP and 14 Nm of torque. In comparison, the India-spec model delivers 18.1 HP and 14.2 Nm of torque. While the Japanese version offers a slight increase in power, it produces marginally less torque than the Indian model.
Despite these performance differences, both the Japanese and Indian versions of the XSR155 share the same cycle parts. The updates are primarily focused on aesthetics and minor engine tuning.
Market Position and Availability
The launch of the XSR155 in Japan expands Yamaha's retro-styled motorcycle lineup in the country. The new features and higher power output aim to attract riders looking for a blend of style and performance. The price point positions the XSR155 as a premium offering in the segment.
