The much-anticipated Mahindra Thar Armada, the 5-door version of the popular Thar, has been spotted testing in India. The spy shots reveal some exciting new features that are expected to be part of this upcoming SUV.

One of the key highlights is the presence of a dual-pane sunroof, a feature not commonly seen in ladder-frame SUVs. This could potentially be a game-changer in the segment. There are also speculations about a soft-top version of the Thar Armada.

The Thar Armada is expected to come with multiple powertrain options, including an entry-level 1.5-litre diesel, a 2.2-litre diesel, and a 2.0-litre turbo petrol. The higher variants are likely to get 4WD, while the entry-level variant might only get an RWD setup.

The SUV is expected to make its debut in mid-2024. Some dealers have reportedly started accepting unofficial bookings for the Thar 5-door. The launch of the Thar Armada is eagerly awaited by SUV enthusiasts, given the success of its 3-door and 4WD versions.
