The 2026 Honda City facelift brings refreshed styling, upgraded features, and improved tech, keeping the sedan competitive in its segment.

Honda Cars India is preparing to launch the facelifted City sedan in 2026. The company aims to refresh the city model to maintain its appeal in the competitive C+ segment. Spy shots of the undisguised test mule have surfaced, revealing significant design updates. AI-generated renders based on these images show the new city in seven colors.
Key Highlights
- 2026 Honda City facelift features updated design inspired by global Honda models
- Facelifted City will offer seven colour options and new alloy wheel designs
- New features include 360-degree camera, larger infotainment screen and panoramic sunroof
- Launch scheduled for May 22, 2026, in India
- 1.5L petrol engine and strong hybrid setup expected to continue
Design Updates and Exterior Changes

The 2026 Honda City facelift features a redesigned front fascia. The design draws inspiration from global Honda models like the Prelude sportscar and Accord D-segment sedan. The headlights are now sleeker and point towards the middle, giving a sharper look. The honeycomb grille has an angled design, and chrome highlights are absent in this version.
Below the headlights, a black housing is visible, likely for the fog lights. The body-colored bumper features a thin line that extends into the lower grille. The lower bumper area also has thin black lines, breaking up the lip's flow. New alloy wheels may be offered in 16-inch or 17-inch sizes. At the rear, the City facelift could get redesigned taillights and a sportier bumper.
Engine, Features, and Colour Options
The facelifted City is expected to retain the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. A strong hybrid setup based on this engine will also continue. The renders show the city in seven colors: Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Obsidian Blue Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Meteoroid Grey Metallic, Golden Brown Metallic, and Crystal Black Pearl. White is likely to remain the most popular choice among buyers.
Honda plans to introduce several new features with the 2026 City facelift. These include a 360-degree camera as standard, a larger infotainment screen, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and multi-zone climate control. These additions aim to enhance comfort and convenience for occupants.
Upcoming Launch and Market Plans
The official launch of the 2026 Honda City facelift is scheduled for May 22, 2026. Honda is also working on a new sub-4m SUV and a new mid-size SUV for the Indian market, both set to arrive by 2028. The City facelift will help Honda maintain its presence in the sedan segment while expanding its SUV lineup for domestic and export markets.
