Skoda Auto India has finally pulled the curtain over the 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift unveiled today. This facelift version of the compact SUV marks the Czech brand’s boldest move in strengthening its India 2.0 portfolio. The brand has started the pre-booking of the model at Rs 15,000 via Skoda Auto India’s official website, with deliveries commencing by the end of March 206.
Indian customers have waited four years for this update since the original Kushaq debuted in 2021 as Skoda's India 2.0 flagship. The facelift amps up European build quality with segment-first features, promising better value in a market obsessed with panoramic sunroofs and ADAS. Let’s check out what new features and possible updates are being brought under the 2026 Kushaq facelift iteration.
What's New With The Design?

The 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift sports a sleeker front fascia with reworked LED headlamps featuring sequential turn indicators and a new connected LED light band. Under the India 2.0 strategy, LED headlamps and taillights are now standard across all trim levels.
While looking at the car from the rear, we get all-new LED taillamps with the illuminated Skoda lettering signature logo, giving off a premium look along with sequential turn indicators. Overall length stays near 4.2 meters, but the design feels more modern and aggressive, aligning with Skoda's global vision. The brand also introduced three new color schemes, such as Cherry Red, Shimla Green, and Steel Grey
New Refined Interiors & Features

The most important updates rank inside the cabin area. While getting inside the car, you may experience a black-and-beige finish in the Prestige trim and a crimson color scheme in the Monte Carlo edition. The dashboard boasts an all-new 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and dual-color ambient lighting. For the 2026 iteration, the car offers the following features:
- Rear passenger massage function
- 6-way powered front ventilated seats
- Front parking sensors
- Leather upholstery
- Automatic climate control
- Panoramic Sunroof as standard
- 6-speed Sound Speaker
A panoramic sunroof floods the space with light, joining ventilated front seats, wireless charging, and automatic climate control with rear vents. New upholstery and trims elevate the vibe. The brand also offers a 491L boot space, which is 106L more than the current ongoing model.
2026 Skoda Kushaq Facelift: Powertrain & Performance

Talking about the engine options, the brand has given one of the biggest updates to the Kushaq nameplate. A new 8-speed automatic transmission system has been brought as an option for the standard 1.0L turbo-petrol engine, producing 115 HP of power and 178 Nm of torque.
For the top-spec variants, the car offers a 1.5L TSI turbo-petrol engine generating about 150 HP of power and 250 Nm of torque. This robust engine is only available with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox system. Skoda has finally included rear disc brakes for the 1.5L TSI variant across the portfolio.

Safety Specs
Safety was Kushaq's strong suit. The 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift offers 6 airbags as standard. Other specifications, including hill-hold and ISOFIX, are standard. The facelift adds an ABS suite with EBD, ESC, rain-sensing wipers and IRVM. However, I am disappointed, as there is no feature for ADAS Level 2 and a 360-degree camera.
Conclusion
For enthusiasts, the Skoda Kushaq facelift blends performance heritage with daily usability. Analysts see it dominating urban families and young buyers seeking substance over flash. With the new design layout, Skoda might be giving tough competition to its rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
