March 2026 Sales Performance
Domestic sales reached 2,66,290 units in March 2026, compared to 2,21,474 units a year earlier. Domestic two-wheeler sales accounted for 2,21,021 units, marking a 20% increase from 1,83,659 units in March 2025. This sharp rise follows a period of flat growth in the previous year, indicating improved retail demand, especially in rural and semi-urban markets.
Commercial vehicle sales in the domestic market totaled 45,269 units, also up 20% year-on-year. Bajaj’s three-wheeler segment, a key part of its commercial vehicle business, benefited from ongoing fleet replacements and increased demand for last-mile logistics in smaller urban centers.
Export and Segment Trends
Exports reached 1,79,087 units in March 2026, a 21% increase from 1,48,349 units in March 2025. This growth outpaced the previous year’s modest export gains and reflects strong demand in Bajaj’s core international markets, including sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and South and Southeast Asia. Bajaj’s expanding presence in premium and mid-displacement segments, such as the Pulsar and Dominar platforms, also contributed to export momentum.
Combined two-wheeler volumes, including both domestic and export sales, stood at 3,80,473 units, up 21% from 3,15,732 units in March 2025. The commercial vehicle segment reached 64,904 units, a 20% increase. The two-wheeler segment’s consolidated 21% growth was primarily driven by strong export performance, while domestic recovery gained pace in the latter part of the fiscal year.
Full-Year and Comparative Data
For the eleven months through February 2026, Bajaj Auto reported year-to-date sales of 46,72,290 units, a 9% increase. The March result suggests full-year FY26 volumes near 51 lakh units, pending final confirmation. Export volumes for April to February reached 20,71,096 units, up 21% year-to-date, while domestic two-wheeler volumes remained nearly flat over the same period.
February 2026 saw a 27% year-on-year growth rate, partly due to a lower base. March’s 20% growth is more normalized but still significant. The slight sequential decline from February’s 4,48,259 units to March’s 4,45,377 units is minimal and does not indicate weakening demand. Bajaj’s commercial vehicle export sub-segment posted 52% year-to-date growth through February, and the March figures will clarify if this trend continued into the fiscal year-end.
