Bajaj has delivered the updated Pulsar NS400Z with a 349.13cc engine to showrooms. The 2026 model is priced at Rs 1,93,500, reflecting a minimal price drop. Key features and design remain unchanged.

Bajaj has begun delivering the updated Pulsar NS400Z with a 350cc engine to showrooms across India. The official launch is pending, but pricing for the 2026 model has already surfaced. The ex-showroom price for the 2026 Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z with the new 350cc engine is Rs 1,93,500, a minor reduction of Rs 400 from the previous price of Rs 1,93,900.
Key Highlights
- Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z 350cc units reach showrooms ahead of formal launch
- Engine downsized to 349.13cc to benefit from lower 18 percent GST bracket
- 2026 ex-showroom price set at Rs 1,93,500 with only a Rs 400 reduction
- Peak power now 40.6 PS and torque at 33.2 Nm after engine update
- All features and equipment retained except for reduced engine displacement
Engine Changes and Tax Implications
The Indian Government's GST 2.0 reforms have placed motorcycles with engine displacements above 350cc in a higher 40% tax bracket. In contrast, motorcycles under 350cc now attract an 18% tax. To benefit from this lower tax rate, Bajaj reduced the Pulsar NS400Z's engine displacement from 373cc to 349.13cc. This adjustment also applies to the Dominar 400, bringing both models under the lower tax bracket.
Despite the engine downsizing, the price reduction is minimal. The new engine is a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled unit. The only visible difference is the removal of the "373.27cc" marking on the engine block, which previously identified the larger engine. All other visual elements, including the model name and color options, remain unchanged.
Performance and Features

The updated 350cc engine now produces 40.6 PS of peak power and 33.2 Nm of peak torque. This is a decrease from the previous model's 43 PS at 9000 RPM and 35 Nm at 7500 RPM. The engine stroke has been reduced to 56.1 mm from 60 mm, while the bore remains at 89 mm. The engine is paired with a slipper clutch, electronic throttle, and a 6-speed gearbox.
Key features of the Pulsar NS400Z include 43 mm USD forks, sintered brake pads, wider Apollo H1 tyres, adjustable clutch and brake levers, projector headlights, large disc brakes with dual-channel ABS, and a fully digital instrument cluster with turn-by-turn navigation. The model retains all features and equipment from the previous version, except for the updated engine displacement.
Dealerships have started to receive units of the new 350cc Pulsar NS400Z, as seen in recent videos. The formal launch is expected soon, with Bajaj aiming to position the motorcycle competitively in the sub-350cc segment.
