Performance and Engineering

The BMW M2 CS weighs 30 kg less than the standard M2, thanks to a carbon fiber boot lid, roof, and additional carbon fiber elements on the interior and exterior mirror caps. Despite these measures, the car weighs 1710 kg. The suspension is 8 mm lower than the regular M2 and features M-specific tuning for springs, dampers, and chassis control systems.
Under the hood, the M2 CS uses a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine. The engine has reworked internals and stiffer mounts, producing 530 HP of power and 650 Nm of peak torque. This is 50 HP and 50 Nm more than the standard M2, matching the output of the larger BMW M4 Competition. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in a claimed 3.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 302 kmph.
The M2 CS is available only with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and rear-wheel drive. There is no manual gearbox option, as the standard M2’s 6-speed manual cannot handle the higher torque output.
Design and Features

Visually, the M2 CS features a reworked grille for improved engine cooling and a new front splitter. It stands out with staggered 19-inch front and 20-inch rear forged alloy wheels finished in gold. These wheels come standard with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres, with track tyres available as a no-cost option.
The rear design includes a large integrated ducktail spoiler for high-speed stability, a more pronounced rear diffuser, and new quad exhaust tips in matte black. The M2 CS is offered in four paint shades: Black Sapphire, Portimao Blue, Brooklyn Grey, and Velvet Blue.

Inside, the car features carbon fiber bucket seats wrapped in leather with M color accents. The seats are deeply contoured and offer electric adjustment and heating but lack ventilation. Additional carbon fiber trims appear on the centre console, dashboard, and door pads. The M2 CS also includes an M-spec Alcantara steering wheel, a 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and a parking assistant.
Pricing and Availability
The BMW M2 CS is a limited-production model, with BMW not disclosing the exact number of units for India. The ex-showroom price is set at Rs 1.7 crore, significantly higher than the standard M2’s price of Rs 1.02 crore.
