Bounce Infinity, in collaboration with Clean Electric, pioneers India’s first portable liquid-cooled battery technology, marking a milestone in electric vehicle (EV) innovation. This breakthrough promises enhanced performance, accessibility, and safety for EV users nationwide.
Enhanced Performance and Accessibility
The Bounce Infinity E1 model now integrates the cutting-edge liquid-cooled battery, propelling its real-world range beyond 100 kilometres. This innovative battery system supports rapid charging, achieving an impressive 80% charge in under 50 minutes, reducing dependence on fixed fast-charging infrastructure. Bounce leads the charge among EV two-wheeler manufacturers with its introduction of a portable liquid-cooled battery supporting fast charging.
Battery Technology Advancements
With a 2.5 KWh energy capacity, the liquid-cooled battery extends the E1 model's real-world range to 112-120 km on a single charge, a significant increase from the previous 1.9 kWh battery offering 85 km range. Despite its advanced technology, the battery remains competitively lightweight at approximately 14.5kg.
Cooling System and Safety Features
Liquid-cooled batteries employ a fire-retardant liquid to absorb and dissipate heat to external metal components, enhancing thermal management and reducing overheating risks. The battery pack incorporates a robust safety stack, including Cell Level Fusing, Pack Level Main Fuse, direct contact active liquid cooling, software safety protections, and a master-slave BMS architecture for N+N redundancy, mirroring aviation industry standards.
Temperature Management and Efficiency
Clean Electric's cooling approach ensures a uniform temperature of 2-3 degrees Celsius across the battery pack's 140 cells, resulting in 30-50% higher efficiency compared to traditional methods. This innovation addresses the critical need for effective thermal management in EVs, enhancing safety and performance.
Future Developments
Bounce Infinity and Clean Electric are committed to ongoing innovation, with plans to introduce the Long Range e1++ model. This model will incorporate a secondary battery to double the vehicle’s range and support universal Type 6 Public DC charging standards for light electric vehicles, ensuring the continued accessibility and economic feasibility of liquid cooling technology for a wide consumer base.
