BYD (Build Your Dreams) is set to launch its latest electric MPV for the Indian market, named the BYD eMAX 7. This new model is an update to the now-discontinued BYD e6, which has been delisted from the company’s website. The eMAX 7 promises to offer a refreshed design and improved features. You can expect the price to be around Rs. 30 lakh.
BYD eMAX 7 Spied Ahead of Launch
BYD is focusing solely on the electric vehicle lineup. After introducing models like the BYD Atto 3 and the Seal electric sedan, the company is now focusing on the MPV segment with the eMAX 7.
Recently, spy shots of the BYD eMAX 7 surfaced online, giving us a glimpse of what to expect. This MPV is also known as the BYD M6 or Song Max in global markets. The vehicle appears to be a mid-life facelift of the e6, featuring a new fascia and design updates to enhance its appeal.
Exterior Design
The spy shots reveal several exterior changes to the eMAX 7. The test vehicle, spotted with a red number plate from Tamil Nadu, maintains a silhouette similar to the e6, as it is primarily a facelift. However, the new dual-tone alloy wheels add a more stylish look compared to the previous e6 model.
From the rear, significant updates are visible, including larger and more sophisticated LED tail lights, a sportier roof spoiler, and a more premium-looking rear bumper with fewer black plastic elements. Although the front fascia wasn’t revealed in the spy shots, it's expected to resemble the global version of the M6.
Premium Interior
While the exterior changes are subtle, the interior of the BYD eMAX 7 is expected to receive a major upgrade. The new model will likely feature a more luxurious cabin, similar to the BYD M6.
This could include a larger rotating touchscreen, higher-quality materials, and a redesigned center console with improved switches and buttons. These enhancements aim to provide a more premium experience compared to the e6.
