Citroen Basalt Launching Tomorrow: Price Expectation
Launching on 9th of August 2024, the Citroen may keep the price of Basalt starting from Rs. 11.49 lakh. Compare it with rivals such as the Toyota Hyryder and MG Astor for the best SUV option.
The Citroen Basalt is expected to launch in India in August 2024, with prices ranging from Rs. 11.49 lakh to Rs. 13.50 lakh. The Basalt will be available in three variants: You, Plus, and Max, and will feature a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 109bhp and 190Nm of torque.

In comparison, the prices of its competitors are as follows:
- Hyundai Creta: Rs. 10.90 lakh - Rs. 18.24 lakh
- Kia Seltos: Rs. 10.89 lakh - Rs. 19.19 lakh
- Tata Curvv: Not announced yet
- Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara: Rs. 10.45 lakh - Rs. 19.65 lakh
- Toyota Hyryder: Rs. 10.48 lakh - Rs. 18.99 lakh
- Skoda Kushaq: Rs. 11.00 lakh - Rs. 19.19 lakh
- MG Astor: Rs. 10.14 lakh - Rs. 18.13 lakh
If you look at the price of Tata Curvv.ev the starting price is ₹17.49 lakhs and goes upto ₹21.99 lakhs. So we can expect that Tata Curvv ICE model will be priced little lower than the Curvv.ev. By keeping this in mind, Citroen will have to keep a competitive price for the market if they want this model to perform better.
