Hero MotoCorp, the global leader in motorcycles and scooters, achieved a stellar 40% year-on-year dispatch growth in December 2025, dispatching 456,479 units against 324,906 the previous year. Buoyed by festive fervor, strategic new model introductions, and robust performance in internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) scooters and international markets, the company also logged 291,732 VAHAN registrations (excluding Telangana data).

This surge highlights Hero's market dominance amid India's dynamic two-wheeler landscape. The Q3 FY26 (October-December 2025) results further amplify this success, with double-digit gains in both motorcycles and scooters, setting a solid foundation for the fiscal year's close.

Scooters Ignite Explosive Growth in December 2025

Scooters emerged as the star performer, with the ICE segment posting a remarkable 45% quarterly rise, propelled by fresh launches including the Destini 110, Destini 125, Xoom 125, and Xoom 160.

These models, tailored for urban commuters and families, tapped into heightened post-festive demand, more than doubling December volumes from the prior year. Hero's emphasis on practicality, style, and efficiency positions it strongly against competitors like Honda and TVS in this high-growth category.

Hero's EV subsidiary, VIDA, accelerated impressively with 10,701 registrations in December, clinching an 11% market share in the burgeoning electric scooter space. The VX2 EVOOTER led the charge, supported by festive sales boosts and positive consumer shifts toward sustainable mobility.
