Hero MotoCorp is one of the largest two-wheeler manufacturers in India. With the implementation of the new GST reforms, the festive season has kicked off with robust bike sales growth for Hero as a brand. The company has announced recently that they have sold around 687,220 units in September 2025. Based on this, the firm saw a growth of 7.88% Y-o-Y compared to 637,050 units sold in September 2024.
The company witnessed a 7.8% increase year-on-year, reflecting sustained demand across motorcycles and scooters. Sales were also high, rising to 24.11% over 553,727 units sold in August 2025. The company also recorded over 3.23 lakh VAHAN registrations in September, highlighting a 19% year-on-year growth in retail demand. Once again, the scooter segments are leading the charge with the launch of VIDA VX2.

These figures represent an 8% growth, along with a 1.3% increase in dispatches in the second quarter of fiscal year 2026 compared to the previous year.
The company proudly crossed the cumulative production milestone of 125 million two-wheelers, setting a historic benchmark in the Indian industry. All these sales performances are fueled by the launch of 12 new category motorcycles and scooters since the last festive season.
Strong Growth in Retail and Export Markets
In Q2 FY 2026, the brand has posted around 1,690,702 units, showcasing an 11.25% Y-o-Y increase compared to 1,519,684 units in Q2 FY 2025. Across the entire Hero portfolio, motorcycles contributed about 1,528,355 units, while scooters held up the momentum with 162,347 units. The company also recorded 323,230 VAHAN registrations this month, reflecting a Y-O-Y growth of 19%.
Hero MotoCorp might also surpass overseas sales records. Building on the strong growth trajectory, the brand continued its strategic expansion across the global markets, reporting the highest-ever Q2 dispatch of 111,854 units. With such sales figures, the company has also risen by 98.4%, with 39,638 units sold in September 2025 alone.
Electric Vehicle Segment Surges Ahead
Hero as a brand is played as an all-rounder. With the sales of motorcycles, Hero is also electrified by the leap in its scooter portfolio. The electric scooter also registered a record sale of 12,736 VAHAN, resulting in a sharp year-on-year market growth. With such tremendous sales figures, the brand share rises 4.7% to 12.2%, reflecting strong consumer confidence and preference for electric mobility solutions.
