Hyundai India has announced plans to introduce 26 models in the country by 2030, as revealed in its 2025 investor day presentation. This expansion will include several new vehicles, with three upcoming models already teased or spotted in 2025. These models are expected to launch before the last quarter of 2026.
Key Highlights
- Hyundai India to launch 26 models by 2030
- Next-gen i20 and Creta to feature larger dimensions and updated interiors
- New sub-4m EV to offer up to 49kWh battery and Level 2 ADAS
Upcoming Hyundai i20 Details
Recent teasers and spy shots suggest that the next-generation Hyundai i20 will feature increased dimensions. The hatchback will also receive new upholstery with i20 motifs on the front seats. The steering wheel, similar to the logoless unit from the Hyundai Venue, will be included. No mechanical changes are expected for the i20.
It will continue with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, available with manual and automated manual transmissions. The 1.0-litre turbocharged engine will remain exclusive to the N Line variant.
Next-Generation Creta Features
The next-generation Hyundai Creta will introduce an updated Android-based infotainment system called Pleos Connect. This system will support Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) capabilities and incorporate artificial intelligence features. The new Creta will also increase in size, as confirmed by earlier spy shots. No changes are expected to the existing mechanical setup.
New Sub-4m Electric Vehicle Plans
Hyundai has confirmed a new sub-4-meter electric vehicle (EV) for India. This EV will be heavily localized, with localization levels rising from 82 percent to 90 percent. The vehicle will include Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The expected price will exceed Rs. 15 lakh. Mechanically, this EV will share its platform with the upcoming Kia Syros EV, which is scheduled for launch in July 2026.
Both vehicles are likely to use the powertrain from the international-spec Hyundai Inster EV. Battery and motor options will include a 42 kWh battery with 95 HP and 147 Nm and a 49 kWh battery with 113 HP and 147 Nm.
Hyundai's Future Model Strategy
By 2030, Hyundai aims to strengthen its presence in the Indian market with a diverse portfolio of 26 models. The company is focusing on localizing production and introducing advanced technology across its lineup. The upcoming launches of the new i20, the next-generation Creta, and the sub-4m EV reflect Hyundai's commitment to innovation and adaptation to market demands.
