Hyundai has revised the 2026 Creta lineup by removing the SX Tech and SX(O) trims. The Creta, a leading mid-size SUV, now offers seven trims instead of nine. The available trims are E, EX, EX (O), S (O), SX, SX Premium, and King.
Key Highlights
- Hyundai removes SX Tech and SX(O) trims from 2026 Creta lineup
- Creta now available in seven trims with King as top variant
- Level 2 ADAS only offered on King trim after SX Tech discontinuation
- Engine options remain unchanged with three 1.5-litre choices
- Summer Edition package adds features for up to Rs 55000 extra
Trim Changes and Pricing

The 2026 Hyundai CretaSX Tech trim previously had a price range between Rs 15.69 lakh and Rs 17.22 lakh. It served as a mid-level option and was notable for offering ADAS technology at a lower price. With its discontinuation, buyers seeking Level 2 ADAS must now choose the King trim. The King trim is the only variant with Level 2 ADAS and costs up to Rs 1.48 lakh more than the discontinued SX Tech.
The SX(O) trim, which was the top variant when the second-generation Creta facelift launched in 2024, has also been discontinued. The King trim, introduced last year, now holds the top position in the lineup. No new features have been added to the remaining trims after these changes.
Features and Engine Options
Customers wanting additional features can select the Summer Edition package. This package is available for an extra cost of up to Rs 55,000, depending on the chosen trim.
The 2026 Creta continues to offer three engine options. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 115 HP and 144 Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine delivers 160 HP and 253 Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre diesel engine generates 116 HP and 250 Nm of torque.
The naturally aspirated petrol and diesel engines come standard with a 6-speed manual transmission. The petrol engine also offers a CVT option, while the diesel engine can be paired with a 6-speed automatic. The turbo-petrol engine is only available with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

The removal of the SX Tech and SX(O) trims streamlines the Creta lineup. Buyers now have fewer mid-level options, especially those seeking ADAS features at a lower price. The King trim remains the only variant with Level 2 ADAS. Engine and transmission choices remain unchanged, and buyers can still opt for extra features through the Summer Edition package.
