Sales Milestones and Growth

Since its launch in May 2019, the Venue has seen strong demand. The first-generation Venue sold 50,000 units within six months of launch. It crossed 1 lakh units in 15 months and 2 lakh units in 25 months. The next milestones, 3 lakh and 4 lakh units, were achieved in 11 months each. The Hyundai Venue reached 5 lakh sales in November 2023, 6 lakh in October 2024, and 7 lakh in early September 2025.
The final 1 lakh units, completing the 8 lakh mark, were sold in just nine months from September 2025 to May 2026, boosted by the new-generation model introduced in November 2026. In addition to domestic sales, Hyundai has exported over 55,000 Venue units since its launch. This brings the total number of Venue vehicles sold globally to more than 8.5 lakh units by May 2026.
Yearly Performance and Market Share
Hyundai recorded its best-ever Venue sales in FY2024, with a 7 percent year-on-year increase. However, sales declined by 7 percent in FY2025. The decline slowed in FY2026, mainly due to the introduction of the new-generation Venue. In 2026, Hyundai sold 11,637 Venue units as of May 31, marking a 23 percent increase compared to the previous year.
Since May 2019, the Venue has accounted for 36 percent of Hyundai’s total utility vehicle (UV) sales in India. The Hyundai Creta remains Hyundai’s top-selling UV, with 10,60,664 units sold and a 48 percent share during the same period.
Variants, Engines, and Pricing
The second-generation Venue comes with three engine options: an 83 HP, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine; a 116 HP, 1.5-liter diesel engine; and a 120 HP, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine is also used in the Venue N Line variant.
The standard Venue is available in eight trims: HX2, HX4, HX5, HX6, HX6T, HX7, HX8, and HX10. Prices range from Rs 8 lakh to Rs 15.65 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hyundai Venue N Line is offered in two trims, N6 and N10, priced from Rs 10.66 lakh to Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
Comparison with Segment Rivals
The Hyundai Venue remains behind its main competitors in total sales. The Maruti Brezza has crossed 14.5 lakh units, while the Tata Nexon has surpassed 10.5 lakh units in the compact SUV segment.
