Contrary to the inline-four engine versions of the CB750 Hornet from the late 1990s and early 2000s, the new Honda model is powered by a 749 cc parallel-twin engine that is entirely new.

Honda’s new CB750 Hornet has been unveiled at the Intermot 2022. The bike is propelled by an all-new 749 cc, parallel-twin engine, unlike the inline-four engine models of the same name in the late 1990s and 2000s.

At the 2022 Intermot trade show in Cologne, Germany, Honda showcased its brand-new middleweight naked parallel-twin engine. Since last year, there have been hints about the new Honda CB750 Hornet, first in the form of stylistic sketches and later in the form of information on the new 755 cc parallel-twin engine. The new 270-degree parallel-twin engine is rated to provide 75 Nm of peak torque at 7,250 rpm and 90.6 horsepower at 9,500 rpm. The new engine's crank and irregular firing order are meant to give it a V-twin feel and powerful mid-range grunt, and it has been developed to provide usable power over the rpm range.

A robust steel diamond frame supports the engine, which is installed there. The vehicle's overall kerb weight is predicted to be roughly 190 kg. It rides on 17-inch wheels with tubeless tyres that have 120-section front tyres and 160-section rear tyres. 41 mm Showa Separate Function Big Piston upside-down forks and a rear shock with a five-step adjustable preload handle suspension, respectively. Dual 296 mm front discs with four-piston radial Nissin callipers are in charge of braking.

The actual model Honda CB750 Hornet's appearance is considerably subdued and subdued compared to earlier sketches of the new Hornet, which displayed a crisp and aggressive look. Although the bike's body panels are modest, the overall appearance is nevertheless crisp. In keeping with the naked street aesthetic, the new Hornet looks small and easily maneuverable thanks to its 795 mm seat height. The bike has self-cancelling turn signals, LED lights throughout, and a 15.2 litre fuel tank.

Along with an optional quick shifter and auto blipper, the 2017 Honda Hornet also offers a variety of technological riding aids. Three riding modes, Rain, Standard, and Sport, as well as three-stage engine braking and traction control, are included as standard features. Wheelie control is another feature that comes as standard. The traction control system (known as the Honda Selectable Torque System) can be turned off through a completely customizable User mode. All features are accessible through the 5-inch full-color TFT screen, which also supports smartphone connectivity and the Honda Smartphone Voice Control system.

For the new Hornet, Honda will also provide standard accessory packs, such as a Sport Pack with a quickshifter, fly screen, seat cowl, and updated footpegs. Aluminum bar-end weights, a tank pad, wheel stripes, and frame crash protection are included in a Style Pack. A stitched seat, panniers, a tank bag, and a seat bag are included in a touring pack. Prices for the new Honda CB750 Hornet in Europe have not yet been released, but it will be available in 2023 in white, black, grey, or yellow. There has been no word yet about a launch in India.

We anticipate seeing the second model from Honda later in 2022, potentially as early as next month at the EICMA 2022 show in Milan, Italy, with the same 755 cc, parallel-twin engine in the new Honda Transalp adventure touring bike.
