- 2024 Jeep Meridian spotted for the 1st time
- Bosch sticker and ADAS hardware visible
- 6 ultrasonic parking sensors in front bumper
- Likely to get level 2 ADAS and self park feature
Jeep Meridian has been on sale in India since mid 2022. However, it was evident that the 3 row SUV lacked a number of features that its rivals like MG Gloster and Skoda Kodiaq offered. Going by the market trend, the most important feature that's missing in the on-sale model of Jeep Meridian is the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). Apart from MG Gloster, one of its main rival, even SUVs like Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV700, which cost less than the Jeep Meridian, offer level 2 ADAS features.

Now, for the first time, the 2024 Jeep Meridian has been spotted in India with clearly visible ADAS hardware. Recently, the pictures of a camouflaged test mule of 2024 Jeep Meridian was snapped by an auto enthusiast Deepak Rasquinha. Let's take a detailed look at the ADAS hardware in the 2024 Jeep Meridian.

Looking at the front side of the 2024 Jeep Meridian, the ADAS radar can be seen in the lower grille. It looks like a dual radar setup, possibly a millimeter wave module, signaling the possibility of a level 2 or level 3 ADAS tech. Additionally, one can also spot 6 ultrasonic sensors in the front bumper. This means that the upcoming 2024 Meridian will come with self/auto park features like that of Skoda Kodiaq or the discontinued Ford Endeavour.
According to Deepak Rasquinha, the test vehicle also had blind spot indicator symbols on the ORVM (Outside rear view mirrors). If that’s true, the 2024 Meridian will come equipped with two corner mounted radars in the rear.
Moreover, looking at the spy image, one can also spot a sticker on the front driver as well as co-driver doors. The sticker reads Bosch, along with a camera and microphone logo. That confirms Bosch as the supplier of the ADAS hardware in the 2024 Jeep Meridian.

Jeep Compass could also get the same ADAS Tech from Bosch
Jeep Meridian is nothing but the extended 3 row version of the Compass, both based on the same small wide 4×4 LWB platform of FCA. Also, both share a number of features and specs. Thus, we can expect that the ADAS hardware seen on the 2024 Meridian test vehicle could also make its way to the 2024 Jeep Compass.

Verdict: The addition of Bosch supplied ADAS tech in the upcoming 2024 Jeep Meridian and possibly the 2024 Jeep Compass will help both the SUVs to compete with their feature loaded rivals like Skoda Kodiaq, MG Gloster, Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, Tata Harrier, VW Tiguan etc. Moreover, this move by Jeep India will make the two products more desirable for the ever demanding Indian consumers.
