JLR India Achieves Record Sales in FY25 with 40% Growth

JLR India Achieves Highest-Ever Annual Sales in FY25
JLR India just revealed their highest annual sales in their seventeen years of operation in India. JLR observed a sale of 6,183 units in FY’25, resulting in a growth of 40% regarding YoY growth. The wholesale units went up to 6,266 units, noting a growth of 39% YoY. JLR also recorded its highest quarterly retail and wholesale in Q4 FY 2025 at 1,793 and 1,710 units, observing a growth of 110% and 118%, respectively.
Record-Breaking Q4 Performance With Defender Taking Charge
Considering the data revealed by the company, Defender went on to become the highest-selling model with growth of 90% in FY25, followed by locally manufactured Range Rover and Range Rover Sport at 72% and 42%, respectively.

To bring more light into the company’s successful sales performance, Mr Rajan Amba, Managing Director, JLR India, commented, “We are incredibly proud to announce our all-time best performance in FY25. JLR India has outpaced the luxury car industry with retail and wholesale growth of around 40% in the current year on the back of 81% year-on-year growth in FY24. This success is a testimony to our strong brands, a focus on 'customer love' and a product portfolio with unparalleled design, unmatched capability and impeccable luxury.”
Focus on Local Manufacturing and Customer Experience
Mr Rajan also added further by quoting, “Our locally manufactured Range Rover and Range Rover Sport have been a key driver of this growth, while Defender continues to sustain its leadership position in its category. The constant support from our retail partners and the commitment of JLR teams in India and the UK have been instrumental in driving this growth story. We're committed to continuing this momentum in FY26, driven by curated product offerings and exceptional client experience.”
