One of India’s prominent car manufacturers, Kia, has gained accolades in a recent 2024 study conducted by Frost & Sullivan. The study unveils the maintenance costs of cars in India, positioning Kia as a value provider in comparison to immediate rivals. Kia's commitment to offering economical and reliable vehicles is highlighted in the Total Cost of Ownership Benchmark analysis.
Kia Carens And Seltos Offer Lowest Maintenance Cost
Since the introduction of Seltos in the Asian subcontinent, Kia India has made significant strides across various car segments. Frost & Sullivan's recent Total Cost of Ownership Benchmark results for Carens and Seltos reinforce Kia's position as a budget-friendly and value-driven choice for price-conscious Indian buyers. The study emphasizes Kia's low acquisition, maintenance, and ownership costs.
Low Maintenance Costs
Kia Carens, marketed as a Recreational Vehicle (RV), emerges as the flagship model with the lowest maintenance costs. Competing directly with premium MPVs like Maruti Suzuki XL6 and Mahindra Marazzo, Carens, in both petrol and diesel variants, showcases substantial savings compared to the industry average. Diesel variants, in particular, demonstrate not only lower maintenance costs but also the lowest acquisition costs.
Fuel Efficiency and Savings
Frost & Sullivan's study indicates that Seltos, Kia India's debutant compact SUV, boasts the lowest maintenance costs among petrol variants, with a significant 17% savings over the industry average. Diesel variants, sharing maintenance costs with the segment leader Hyundai Creta, establish Seltos as a cost-effective option, securing the second-best spot for Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) with diesel variants and the third-best with petrol variants.

Statement from Kia India
Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, National Head of Sales & Marketing, Kia India, expressed his excitement about Frost & Sullivan recognizing Kia as one of the most value-driven mobility solutions. He highlighted that choosing a Kia is not just a wise decision for today but an investment for the future, given its premiumness, unmatched maintenance, and residual costs within their respective segments. Kia's commitment to providing value-driven, reliable vehicles is evident in the study's results, making it a compelling choice for Indian consumers.
