The introduction of the recent GST 2.0 reform has made passenger vehicles more affordable in India, along with additional festive discounts surpassing the benefits to Indian customers. Based on this, Kia India has also announced their September sales reports with positive remarks. The brand has revealed that they have sold around 22,700 units, with an increase in sales of 15.8% in September 2025.
This impressive surge builds on strong customer confidence and demonstrates Kia’s robust standing in India’s mass premium car segment. Popular models such as the Kia Sonet, Kia Carens, and Kia Carens Clavis are attracting buyers with their design and performance. With such cars under the portfolio, the brand has recorded sales of 206,582 in Y-o-Y growth in 2025. Behind this dynamic growth are conducive policy reforms and Kia’s diverse portfolio delivering comfort, innovation, and value to Indian buyers.
Festive Season and Policy Increases Drive Demand
Kia | Sales | September 2025 Sales VS | Diff. | % Growth |
September 2025 | 22,700 | September 2024 (Y-oY) | -823 | -3.50% |
September 2024 | 23,523 | August Y-o-Y 2025 (M-o-M) | 3,092 | 15.77 |
August 2024 | 19,608 | -- | - | - |
In September 2025, Kia showed remarkable growth due to the benefits of the recent GST 2.0 reforms. With the introduction of the new tax regime, the brand had to revise the car prices across the portfolio. This made the vehicle more affordable and reported domestic sales of 22,700 units. Yet, it registered a 3.5% decline in Y-o-Y from September 2024.
However, the company has recorded a strong 15.8% growth, rising from 19,608 units sold in August 2025. These factors have not only spurred showroom traffic but also contributed to an upswing across Kia’s core product line. From January to September 2025, Kia India sold a total of 206,582 units, up from 1,92,690 units from the previous year.
