Kia India expands network with 500th service workshop in Ahmedabad
Kia India strengthens its aftersales network with the launch of its 500th workshop in Ahmedabad, introducing EV charging infrastructure and green service practices.

Kia India inaugurated its 500th service workshop in Chandkheda, Ahmedabad, on April 24, 2026. The new facility covers 76,069 square feet and features dedicated electric vehicle charging infrastructure. This workshop is among Kia's largest in India and is operated by West Coast Kia.

With this opening, Kia India's aftersales network now includes 800 service touchpoints across 391 cities. The Ahmedabad facility adds significant capacity to the network, supporting the brand's customer base of over 1.5 million.
Facility Features and Capacity

The Ahmedabad workshop is equipped with 57 service bays, including eight bays for washing and mopping. The site also offers 100 parking spaces for customers and staff. Ninety trained professionals operate the facility, which can service up to 40,000 vehicles each year.
The service center includes a dedicated zone for premium exterior care. It also features a 90 kW DC fast charger capable of charging two electric vehicles at once. The building was constructed under Kia's green workshop initiative and integrates a 145 kW solar power generation system.
Green Initiatives and Expansion Plans
Kia India currently operates 124 green workshops nationwide. These facilities collectively generate 8.90 MW of solar energy. The company aims to expand its sustainable and digitally enabled ecosystem for customers.
Managing Director and CEO Gwanggu Lee stated that the ongoing network expansion supports Kia's commitment to sustainability. The company plans to deploy 15,000 passenger vehicles with 15-minute charging capability in the coming years.
Industry growth is expected to moderate to between 5 and 6 percent due to rising input costs and export disruptions. The two-wheeler manufacturer recently surpassed 10 million units produced in India, reflecting the sector's scale.
