- The feature supports both active ownership and transparent resale with verified vehicle information
Key Features of Digital Passport
Digital Passport addresses the challenge of vehicle data being scattered across different platforms. The feature brings together service history, accident and repair records, driving insights, warranty status, and an overall vehicle health score. All this information is presented in a single, verified report for the user.
Atul Sood, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Kia India, stated that the initiative aims to enhance transparency. He said it reinforces customer confidence through technology-led solutions during the ownership journey.
Benefits for Owners and Resale
Digital Passport is designed to support both active ownership and vehicle resale. The feature allows potential buyers to access a transparent, verified account of a vehicle's condition and maintenance record. This can help buyers make informed decisions and improve trust in the resale process.
The Digital Passport is part of the broader Kia Connect ecosystem. Kia Connect now covers more than five lakh connected cars on Indian roads. Kia India operates a network of 862 touchpoints across 390 cities. Since starting production at its Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, facility in 2019, the company has recorded over 1.2 million domestic vehicle sales.
