Stellantis has announced the introduction of the Chinese brand Leapmotor to India, targeting the growing electric vehicle market. On 28 April 2025, Stellantis confirmed its plan to bring Leapmotor EVs to address India's price-sensitive electric vehicle segment. By 2026, the Leapmotor B10 has received a patent in India, signaling its upcoming entry into the market.

Leapmotor B10 Features and Design
The Leapmotor B10 stands out with a closed-off grille and dedicated air vents for battery cooling. The vehicle features 18-inch tyres with single-tone alloy wheels and flush-fitting automatic door handles. Both the front and rear ends have connected lights, and the car includes a panoramic sunroof. Inside, the B10 offers a 14.6-inch infotainment display, an 8.8-inch instrument cluster, a smartphone holder, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
Powertrain and Battery Options
Internationally, the Leapmotor B10 is available with two powertrains: a battery electric vehicle (BEV) and a range extender, which is a battery-dominated plug-in hybrid. For India, the B10 EV will offer two battery pack options. The first is a 56.2kWh battery, providing a WLTP-claimed range of 361km. The second is a 67.1kWh battery, offering a WLTP-claimed range of 434km. Both variants use a 214bhp motor.
Market Position and Competition
The Leapmotor B10 will compete with electric SUVs from Hyundai, Kia, Tata, Renault, Vinfast, and MG. It will also face competition from New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) produced by JSW-Chery. Stellantis aims to use Leapmotor to strengthen its presence in India's expanding EV sector. However, no official launch date for the Leapmotor B10 in India has been announced yet.
